Two posts in a week, whaaat? Well, I’ve had a wonderful session of jumping from random, unknown (to me) music videos for hours late at night, and I want to share my favourites with you. I’ll keep the waffling to a minimum for each entry.

Palebloom – Maybe I’m Not That Alright

They call themselves post-hardcore meets sad pop-punk, but they stuck out to me because they just sound so raw and genuine. Also, that damn synth.

Labyrinthus Stellarum - Voyagers

Black metal meets synths, sick. The old sci-fi videogame video tickles my brain. Shout out to Remo for recommending these guys.

Black Spikes - Dulkės

Modern multi-layered song with some crazy visuals.

Showing Teeth - Make It Out

I’m a sucker for this kind of modern core with clean and harsh female vocals.

Enemy Inside - Dopamine

That’s why there’s another one immediately.

Echoes Adrift - Open Wounds

Hey, there’s a guy singing the harsh parts here, completely different, ok?

Wild Horses - Take It As It Comes

Curveball! Love me some melancholic folk.

Buried In Spring - Dissipate

2000s core says hello.

Next few bands are I know very well, but the videos are new to me.

Sable Hills – Scars

I don’t know why Japan produces some of the best of this kind of Metalcore, but of those, Sable Hills is probably my favourite.

Saor - Carved In Stone MMXXVI

Finally managed to see them in concert at Meh Suff a week ago, and it was magical. No one does these cold atmospheres like them.
